With a combination of wall plates, gallows brackets and braced timber work we constructed the very sturdy skeletal frame of the canopy in Alderley Edge. Once this work was complete, we then felted (Redland Spirtec, breathable membrane) and battened (2″x1″ tantalised roof battens) the canopy roof. The roof was then tiled in the same style as the main roof area on Eddie and Elisa’s home, using antique brown, Marley double roman tiles, with dry verge fitted to each end. We then completed the canopy roof using code 4, 12″ lead, dressed and fitted into the brickwork, secured in place using lead tabs.
